WB TET Eligibility Criteria 2019 Modified for WB Primary TET Exam

WB TET Eligibility Criteria 2019:

Candidates who are eligible and interested for the West Bengal Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) can fill the form through online. The WB teacher Eligibility Criteria is out on Monday 9th October 2017 on the official notification. According to the Criteria who are well completed two year Teacher Training Programme or defended partly 50 per cent in their higher Secondary Examinations in order to be through-out eligible for the exam.

As per plan, West Bengal TET will be attended for around 30,000 posts in the state.

“I have urged the Primary Education Board to issue a notification after the Board office opens on October 9 stipulating the two conditions as per the guidelines mentioned by the Department of School Education, Government of West Bengal,” said education minister Partha Chatterjee.

  • The candidates must clear the Higher Secondary Exam/Senior Secondary Exam (or its equivalent 10+2) with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for Reserved Category Candidates)and 2yr Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) passed from an institution recognized by the NCTE and affiliated to the examination body notified by the NCTE.   or
  • The candidates must clear the Higher Secondary Exam/Senior Secondary Exam (or its equivalent 10+2) with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for Reserved Category Candidates) and 4yr Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).  or
  • The candidates must clear the Higher Secondary Exam/Senior Secondary Exam (or its equivalent 10+2) with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for Reserved Category Candidates) and Diploma in Education (Special Education),recognized by Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).  or
  • Graduation and 2yr Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)passed from an institution recognized by the NCTE and affiliated to the examination body notified by the NCTE.
  • In case of the graduate candidates, there are no qualifying marks mentioned.
  • There is a relaxation of 45% marks if the candidates belonging to reserved category, so in order to meet the eligibility criteria, they need to attain 45% marks only.

Minister Partha Chatterjee declared all the changes in the eligibility criteria for the examination of West Bengal TET 2018, In the session with the Primary Education Board president Anik Bhattacharya on Thursday in Kolkata, both are discuss about the WB TET 2018. Adding that, candidates who have the eligibility criteria can go and apply for the exam of WB TET 2018 through online.
